Abstract

Digital financial literacy helps in enhancing financial inclusion and is motivating for the  implementation of digital payment systems in rural regions of India. Though Digital India,  Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana have improved the  access to digital financial services, limited digital know-how, lack of awareness, and fear of security are the issues faced by a major share of rural population. Thus, there is a need for the development of digital financial literacy for enhancing the confidence level and use of digital payment systems. This study will examine the existing level of digital financial literacy and its impact on the acceptance of digital payment among rural population of Gujarat. In addition, the study will define the significant factors affecting digital literacy and payment adoption. The primary data has been collected through a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation, regression, t-test, and ANOVA have been used for data analysis in the present study.
